Minor Ailments
The SCFHT Pharmacist is available to assess and prescribe medications for minor ailments, which are health conditions that can be managed with minimal treatment and/or self-care strategies.
A minor ailment is generally a condition that is less serious, can be self-diagnosed and managed with minimal treatment, and is often self-limiting, meaning that it only lasts for a short period of time.
Our pharmacist will meet with you to help confirm your self diagnosis and rule out symptoms that require further medical attention.
This can be done in person or by phone for most minor ailments.
If your condition does not meet the description listed above, please book an appointment with your primary care provider to avoid delays in treatment.
